Welcome to my corner of the Operation Write Home blog tour! Here you'll be cruising through 3 special cards I made, but first I should say I haven't known about OWH for very long. Only a week actually, but I've already helped finish some cards that will be sent to our soldiers. (my grandma made them, but I glued 'em to cardstock) If there is anyone on this blog tour with a friend or relative in the military I not only thank them for their service, but you also. For being there for them when they do or don't come home and for supporting their dreams of protecting not only our country, but others that are struggling. So everyone out there today, this is for you! (I'm required to give you the OWH website so here it is: http://www.operationwritehome.org/ enjoy and also: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/)
First up is the butterfly card. I thought I'd make this card, because it was pretty, but I think it was because to me the butterfly is one of the many things that represent freedom. (Once you have seen all of my cards for this blog tour tell me which one you like the best, please)
I loved the first card so much I decided to make another one. (this one isn't part of the blog tour)
For this card we go back to the 60's. I don't know much about the 60's, but I think it was the decade of disco. So I used the disco girl I made during a punch class and used the record idea my grandma was using for a different card.
Finally, I pledge allegiance to the flag... Oh sorry. Back to the card, it is a simple card, but to me it is the best out of the three, but I still want your opinion.
Well, that ends my corner of the tour if you haven't already visited Brenda H. here's her blog: http://brendasstampingcorner.blogspot.com/
So pretty!! Love the butterflies...happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteThese are all very nice so it's hard to choose a favorite. I love the connection you made between butterfly and freedom but I am a sucker for anything with the good 'ol stars ans stripes so...if you are going to force us to choose LOL... my vote is for the flag design. Have a fantastic 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteRed, white and blue butterflies it is! I've been fascinated with red, white, blue and kraft for awhile now ;) All of your cards are wonderful, have a fun and safe holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow Noelle, all these cards are really neat--how can we choose just one?!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, though, my sister and I were in elementary school in the 60s and your go go girl looks just like her second grade teacher--okay, her hair was brown, not blue. . . but we thought she was so fashionable and beautiful. THanks for stirring up happy memories!
Totally love the red, white and blue butterflies fluttering to the sky!
ReplyDeleteI love them all. I would have to go with the red/white/blue butterflies, but it just edges out the other cards. You are a great stamper for your age and I can't wait to see what you come up with as you develop you stamping skills. (A very prejudiced Grandma here, lol)
ReplyDeletelove your card.....
ReplyDeleteNoelle, you are adorable. Oops prejudice Aunt here. You keep this up and you are going to out do your grandmother and that is saying something. Now to the cards they are great. I happen to love the disco card. Happy 4th of July sweetie.
ReplyDeleteNoelle I love your cards!!! Butterflies are my favorite things ever. Thanks so much for sharing!

ReplyDeleteNoelle,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one with the four flags that look like stamps.
Have to go with the flags, I'm a sucker for the 'ole red, white and blue! But a close second is your butterfly card.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th,
R/

all of your cards are lovely, birthdays, butterflies and the grand old flag!
ReplyDeleteI love butterflies but I found all of your cards beautiful! Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteOk, so the 70's was the disco decade. The 60's were all about peace and love and flowers. Your little lady was a cross between a TV icon Mary Tyler Moore and Nancy Sinatra's "these boots are made for walking" song. Both from the 60's.
ReplyDeleteLove all your cards! Thanks so much for caring and sharing.
Great butterfly birthday card!! Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh I love these!
ReplyDeletei liked the flag card the best too, with the red, white and blue butterflies a close second - TFS
ReplyDeleteOh my, they're all so nice!! I really like the red, white, and blue butterfly card. I love how you used different textures for them. Great cards!
